Being a sewist in Canada can be hard sometimes, guys. I fall in love with so many international fabric companies on Instagram, only to find out that:
a) With our current dollar conversion I can barely afford 1/4 yrd. of fabric.
b) Suddenly shipping a single cut of rayon challis costs $30 USD (so that's nearly $40 CAD) and will take FOREVER.
c) When I happily skip on down to the post office to pick up my highly-anticipated package, I owe an additional $25 in custom fees (pardon me!?)
That's why I was so stinkin' excited to receive an email from Cay, the owner of Zoe Momma Fabrics, offering to sponsor a contest for Maker Style readers!
Zoe Momma Fabrics is based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and stocks both the designer fabric brands you obsess over on Instagram and some unique prints that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. Cay has a great selection of quilting cotton prints available already, and is steadily adding more apparel substrates in some really rocking designs - I'm pretty obsessed with the cotton poplins she has in her shop right now that have been pictured throughout this post.
Cay is offering 3 meters of fabric from her shop to a lucky Maker Style reader. She also generously sent me over some of my favourite cotton poplin print, "showering vine" to make a garment with - I'll be sharing what I whip up with it a little later this fall.

This giveaway includes any three meters of fabric from Zoe Momma Fabrics, chosen within at least two weeks of the contest closing date. One lucky winner will receive this prize!
This giveaway is open to sewists across the world — but you must be above the age of 18 to enter. It is not sponsored or endorsed by Instagram (or any social media channel where this information is shared) in any way. This contest is void where prohibited (aka: if you live in a country/area where this type of contest is illegal, you are ineligible to win). In that case, another winner will be selected.
To enter, tag a sewing friend in the comments of this Instagram post anytime between September 1st and September 8th, 2017. You can tag multiple friends for multiple entries. In addition, you must be following both myself (@maker.style) and Zoe Momma Fabrics (@ZoeMammaFabrics).
