Me Made May 2016 - My Pledge
Hey friends!
I can't believe its May already, YAY! Bring on the sunshine and good times, am I right?
May is one of the most exciting months for the sewing community because of Me Made May. This challenge is created by So Zo, but the gist of it is that everyone gets together and pledges to challenge themselves to be a become a better maker.
This year for the first time ever I'm going to be participating!
With you, dear readers, as my witness this year I pledge:
1) To wear one me made garment every.dang.day.
This challenge shouldn't be too difficult for me, since I usually wear me made three times a week. With my sewing business casual project underway I'm sure I should have lots of garments to pick from when coming up to choose from. If you're looking to add some work wear to your wardrobe during MMM, check out the series here! You'll be totally inspired, I promise.
2) To be a better blogger and SHARE these outfits with others.
I'm sometimes guilty of being a lazy blogger. Just sometimes. While wearing me made isn't always a challenge for me, sharing these things is. I hate having my picture taken, and I don't make the time to blog that I should. So this month, I pledge to share more of these me made outfits with you guys! Whether that looks like daily OOTD posts on Instagram, or weekly roundups on the blog, I'm not too certain yet. All I know is that I pledge to share more.
If you want to check out my me made outfits so far, you can find them here. For today's outfit, as pictured above, I'm rocking out in my original hemlock sweater around the house.
